James J. McGuckin, Jr. Joins Genserve’s Management Team

GenServe proudly announces that James J. (Jim) McGuckin, Jr. has joined their ranks as Director of Electrical Services.

Jim brings extensive knowledge in electrical and mechanical disciplines. With more than 36 years of experience in project management, electrical/mechanical construction, and maintenance of facilities, Jim's appointment reassures customers that all GenServe projects will continue to adhere to the highest standards and will be performed on time and delivered within budget as the company continues to experience record market share growth.

Jim started his career with Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) and worked his way up the ranks ultimately managing, coordinating, and supervising more than 200 union personnel. After PGW Jim went on to become Executive Director of Facilities and Construction Management for Drexel University maintaining a portfolio of over 4.2 million square feet of office and academic buildings, commercial real estate, Greek housing, and dormitories with an annualized budget of $32 million. While at Drexel, Jim managed more than 325 employees ranging from union members, managers, supervisors, and administrative support staff. His efforts were successful in establishing single source vendor relationships, the development of the Construction Group within the Facilities Management Group and implementation of long-range strategic capital plans, all of which ultimately resulted in savings of more than $500,000 annually.

Jim's experience and attributes will enable GenServe to expand services to its customers. As GenServe CEO Bob Fortunato states, "having Jim aboard allows us the capabilities to do anything for our customers, whether they need a new turn-key installation, electrical testing and anything in between.
